Due to an incorrect update of the software, the dataset for the folding door control system was overwritten with an incorrect parameter, which causes the folding door to close independently after the ignition has been turned off and a period of 60 seconds has elapsed. As the power for the door control is now switched off, the reverse function and the protection against trapping are also switched off. This increases the risk of injuries. The product does not comply with the requirements laid down in the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

The adapter plate for fastening the non-skid snow-chain unit may break. This could result in the loss of the entire snow-chain unit, thus increasing the risk of injuries or an accident for following traffic.

Pneumatic brake lines on the parking brake may, under certain conditions, be damaged by chafing on the drive shafts when the vehicle is lowered to the lowest position. As a result, it could, over time, cause the wheels to jam when applying the brakes.

Defective parametrisation of the vehicle’s centre of gravity position is impairing the electronic stability program (ESP) function. As a consequence, the braking action may be delayed, increasing the risk of an accident.

Loose bolts on the gearbox locking pin may lead to complete loss of power transmission when shifting from sixth gear to seventh gear.

The belt buckle between the middle and passenger seat may has been bent excessively (more than 90°) by the passengers while entering or leaving the car.This can result in breakage of some wires of the steel cable which connects the belt buckle with the chassis. If this is the case, the cable could break in the event of an accident which leads to a higher injury risk, because the restraint function of the belt would fail.

In the vehicles concerned, incorrect axle modulators, proportional relay valves and trailer control valves from the firm WABCO have been installed. Owing to this defect, a solo-operated vehicle may unexpectedly swerve uncontrollably during normal braking. The component defect may thus result in an immediate risk to road safety.

A wrongly positioned yaw rate sensor in vehicles with a long wheelbase may result in incorrect ESP (electronic stability programme) intervention.

In certain batches of gas pressure regulators, cracks could form on the gas pressure regulators, leading to gas leakage. Additional circumstances could not, in this case, ultimately exclude the outbreak of a fire outside the cab.

The high pressure line is possibly fitted defectively. Fuel could leak leading to the risk of fire.

The housing of the temperature pressure valve of the gas installation may spontaneously fracture during refueling. If the temperature pressure valve is broken, the relevant gas tank empties completely within a couple of minutes. The consequences of an unintentional gas leak could be anything from an injury to a thermal event, depending on the environmental condition and situation. /
