Welded parts of the inflator in each of the curtain shield air bags could have a minute crack. If the crack propagates over time, part of the inflator could separate causing compressed gas to escape. This would result in partial inflation of the curtain shield air bag, and, in limited circumstances, one or both sections of the inflator could enter the interior of the vehicle. If an occupant is present in the vehicle, this could lead to injuries.

The anchor plate for the rear seatbelts may have a sharp edge. In the event of a collision, there is a possibility that the webbing for the buckle part of the seatbelt could consequently become cut and separate at the anchor plate. If this occurred, the occupant would not be properly restrained, increasing the risk of injury.

In the event of a high-speed frontal collision, there is a possibility that the lap belt webbing of the seat belts intended for the outboard, second row seats could come into contact with a part of the seat cushion frame, be cut, and separate.
