The box might therefore open when the vehicle is moving and some of the contents could fall onto the road. This could endanger traffic behind the vehicle or coming in the opposite direction and also other third parties. Eight incidents reported worldwide, causing only damage to property.

The roof boxes in question were distributed between 07/2010 and 02/2011. EAN codes for the 460 Black roof box are 003168184614 and 8003168134619. The Monaco 500 roof box has no EAN code.
