The injector O-ring/s may have been damaged during assembly which could cause a fuel leak into the cylinder head injector recess. The build up of fuel in the recess could run down the back of the engine and contact the exhaust/hot surfaces causing a risk of smoke or fire.

The vehicles pose the risk of injuries because they have been fitted with a brake pedal pin retaining "R" clip which does not meet material specification. Spring tension of the clip will be reduced. As a result, there is the possibility that the clip could come off, allowing the brake pedal to detach from the brake booster push rod. This would result in loss of brake actuation and could lead to an accident.

There is a possibility of a faulty electrical connection to the electric booster heater. This could lead to rapid and significant heat generation at the connection, with a risk of smoke and/or fire from behind the instrument panel.

The bolt that secures the brake pipe bracket to the rear axle could fail and lead to subsequent fatigue failure of the rear brake pipe. This would reduce the brake performance and could cause the vehicle to crash.

The pivot pin used to connect the driver and passenger side wiper arms to the wiper arm heads can become loose, causing the wiper arm to lose tension to the windshield and possibly allowing the arm to separate. If a wiper arm separates while driving, a loss of windshield wiper function could occur on that side, possibly reducing visibility and leading to the risk of an accident.

The seatback latch may not engage correctly, under certain circumstances, resulting in the rear seatback not being positively secured to the body striker. This may pose a risk of injuries to passengers in the event of a crash.

Vehicles operated in countries which have high road salt usage during the winter months may experience an increased risk of corrosion build-up. In extreme cases, the corrosion can propagate into the electronic circuits and result in overheating. In rare cases, the overheating may be sufficient to ignite the module fitted to the engine cooling fan and surrounding wiring component increasing the risk of a fire.

There is a possibility that the bolt securing the seat belt 'D' ring to the 'B' pillar on the passenger side of the vehicle could separate from the B pillar during a severe accident, causing injuries to the front passenger.

On affected vehicles there may be inadequate clearance between the engine cover and the speed control cable, which could cause the throttle to stick when the accelerator pedal is fully or partly depressed.

Fastening bolts on the rear axle could break and subsequently lead to a weakening of the rear axle anchorage.

A plug in the exhaust system may come loose of its own accord. In rare cases, the plug may become fully detached and hot exhaust gases may escape into the engine compartment. Those hot exhaust gases may be sufficient to ignite the plastic cover of the radiator fan and enter the interior of the vehicle. As a result, there is a risk of an accident.

If operated in countries which have high road salt usage during the winter months, one or both fuel tank straps could potentially fracture. Strap fracture may result in the fuel tank contacting the ground. If the fuel tank contacts the ground and develops a leak while driving, there is a potential risk of fire.
