The product poses a risk of injuries because in isolated cases on bikes equipped with Hawk brake pads mounted in the Brembo front brake system, the backing plate becomes de-bonded from the friction plate due to corrosion. This can cause of an accident due to reduction of the braking ability of the vehicle.

KTM motorcycles, model 990 Super Duke 2006. The brake pads, which need to be replaced, have one of the following markings on the rear side: H5Z, J5H, K5G, L5X, L5S.
