The gasket seal for the engine's chain tensioner may display incorrect settling behaviour. Over time, this may result in the chain tensioner detaching from the threaded hole on the cylinder head and the leakage of engine oil. In an emergency stop, this can lead to insufficient front axle braking with locked rear axle brakes, insufficient rear axle braking with locked front axle brakes and increased oversteering or understeering. This can undermine the traction control system (TCS).
