DefectAfter extended use the fuel rail crossover tube O rings may leak fuel. This may lead to an engine compartment fire.
RemedyFit external seals at the fuel crossover points. If the joints are leaking or show signs of rust the fuel rail assembly will be replaced.

DefectThe self-adjusting mechanism may become out of range or fail to engage. Either condition could lead to the vehicle rolling away.
RemedyIdentify type of handbrake cable fitted and install short cable if not already installed. In all cases install lockout clip to the self adjust mechanism.

DefectThe parking brake lever cable is too long which may cause the locking mechanism to extend beyond the last tooth of the sector when the park brake is engaged. This condition may cause the parking brake to self-release.
RemedyRecall affected vehicles and replace parking brake cable with shorter cable. Additionally as part of the above recall the repair contained in Daimler-Chrysler Technical Service Bulletin 05i-801-99 relating to parking brake imbalance will be carried out on affected vehicles.
