12/07/12 | | Raised: 08/08/18 - PARKING BRAKE CALIPER SHAFT BOOTS INCORRECTLY SEALED View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2018/180 (51154)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3034850-63 R30404
DefectDue to improper sealing of parking brake caliper shaft boots water might penetrate inside and rust the shaft. As the result of continuous use the rust will erode into the internal caliper and the shaft becomes stuck causing decreased parking brake force. Due to improper manufacturing process automatic adjuster for brake pad clearance of rear brake caliper might not work properly. As the result as brake pad wear the clearance is not correctly adjusted and brake force becomes insufficient to hold a vehicle. In the worst case scenario parking brake will not work even though a lever is fully operated and parked vehicle may move.
RemedyAnti-rust coating (Fluorine) has been applied to parking brake shaft from 27/01/2016 supplied parts & the Inspection process for the caliper has been changed from 14/12/2014 supplied parts.

23/04/15 | | Raised: 19/02/18 - DOOR LATCHING MECHANISM MAY MALFUNCTION IN HOT TEMPERATURES View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2018/021 (18418)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3033728 / R3033729
DefectThe locking mechanism in the door latch assembly may not operate properly in high temperatures. As a result the door may latch correctly and may unintentionally open whilst driving.
RemedyA modified assembly is available and depending on vehicle identification number the remedy is to replace either both O/S door latches or on all four doors.

05/12/14 | | Raised: 19/02/18 - ECU RELAY MAY OVERHEAT AND CAUSE ECU TO MALFUNCTION View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2018/019 (28059)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3034330 / R3034360
DefectThe engine Electronic Control Unit Relay may overheat and fail. This could interrupt power supply to the engine and will cause the engine malfunction warning lamp to illuminate. The engine may stall and may not restart.
RemedyOn affected vehicles the engine ECU power relay will be replaced with a new relay.

06/04/10 | | Raised: 03/01/18 - WATER INGRESS MAY DAMAGE THE WIPER MOTOR View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2017/317 (12443)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3032420/R3032450
DefectDue to inappropriate water proof structure of the front deck water can ingress into the wiper motor. Water accumulated around the air breather hole might enter into the wiper motor when the motor is cooling down after operation. As a result the internal part of the front wiper motor may rust and seize In the worst case the wiper motor may not operate.
RemedyThe waterproof fabric has been introduced to the air breather cap since 10/01/2014 for RHD wiper motors. Check which type of breather cap is fitted and replace with new motor if the latest waterproof type is not fitted.

06/04/10 | | Raised: 03/01/18 - TAILGATE GAS SPRING END CAP MAY CORRODE AND COME OFF View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2017/318 (15668)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3032120/R3032121
DefectAnti-corrosion treatment of the gas spring end cap in production was insufficient. The tailgate gas spring end cap corrodes to such an extent that the gas pressure inside can force the end cap to come off. In the worst case the end cap can hit the customer and/or the tailgate can fall down suddenly and result in possible injury.
RemedyThe anti-corrosion coating has been improved in vehicle production. On affected vehicles the rear tailgate gas springs will be replaced with improved gas springs.

06/04/10 | | Raised: 28/11/14 - BRAKE PEDAL FAILS TO RELEASE View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2014/129 (4333)
Manufacturer Reference
DefectDue to incorrect installation of the switch sleeve in the brake booster the switch sleeve may be cracked. As a result the tip of the switch sleeve could break off causing the brake pedal not to release with the effect of the vehicle being unable to restart/move/pull away.
RemedyRecall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the production date of the brake booster. Replace the brake booster if it is of the affected production dates.
|
19/04/10 | | Raised: 18/02/14 - ENGINE MAY STALL View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2014/013 (5359)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3023210
DefectSoot may build on the piston ring causing the ring to seize in the groove allowing combustion gases to by-pass the piston. If not rectified this if ignored could cause the piston to overheat and melt.
RemedyRecall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to reprogram the engine ECU with new version software to change the pilot injection timing.

| | Raised: 16/01/12 - POWER STEERING ASSISTANCE MAY BE INOPERATIVE View/hide..
Recalls Number (Vehicles Effected)R/2011/162 (6154)
Manufacturer ReferenceR3019120
DefectOn a number of right hand drive vehicles it has been established that the electrical wiring harness to the power assisted steering control unit for the Electric Power Steering (EPS) has not been secured correctly. Vehicle vibration could cause a break in the connection between the harness and the control unit. Should this occur the EPS warning light will illuminate on the dash and the driver will experience heavier steering control although control of the vehicle is not lost.
RemedyAll affected vehicles will be recalled for the fitment of a modified bracket and securing clip.
