"Internal tests have shown that the longitudinal and transverse control arms installed on the affected vehicles may be prone to corrosion. The durability of these components cannot therefore be unequivocally guaranteed.f the fastening bolts on the longitudinal and transverse control arms crack due to corrosion vehicle handling in extreme situations e.g. during race track driving may be restricted and this can increase the risk of an accident."

Remedy

The affected components on the vehicles will therefore be replaced by components made of more robust material.

It has been identified that the durability of the lower trailing arm cannot be guaranteed. The arm can start to crack or fracture which if used on race track use or similar events can cause the arm to fail and result in loss of control of the vehicle.

Remedy

Recall all the affected vehicles to replace the lower trailing arms with a more durable component.

Defect

The wiring harness for the left hand radiator could be touching a heat guide plate made of carbon fibre. Therefore the harness could be damaged causing the radiator fan to stop working and an electric short circuit to the low resistance heat guide plate cannot be ruled out. This electric short circuit can cause the vehicle to catch fire even a long time after stopping the vehicle.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the routing of the wiring harness and the harness condition. The harness must be secured to the water tube using an additional tie wrap clamp. If the wire harness is damaged it must also be repaired.
