The front-axle brake pipes could chafe or shear off. This could result in the vehicle unexpectedly pulling to one side.

When driving, the rotation of the drive shaft may lead to thermal stress on the universal joint bearing pin. As a result, the mounting bush or journal cross may come loose. Moreover, the drive shaft weld could fail. A complete failure of the weld would break the drive shaft and consequently damage or destroy air hoses, cables, etc. In both cases parts may drop into traffic.
