The vehicles pose the risk of injuries because they have been fitted with a brake pedal pin retaining "R" clip which does not meet material specification. Spring tension of the clip will be reduced. As a result, there is the possibility that the clip could come off, allowing the brake pedal to detach from the brake booster push rod. This would result in loss of brake actuation and could lead to an accident.

The holes are caused by high temperature gas from the airbag inflator exhausting directly onto the surface of the airbag material. Contact of the high temperature gas / airbag material with the driver’s skin can cause burns.

If the movement of wipers is restricted by an external load, such as a build-up of heavy snow on the windscreen, the wiper motor torque may exceed the wiper arm slipping torque, and one, or both, of the wipers could become inoperative. If this occurs, driver visibility could be reduced, which could lead to an accident.
