The product poses a risk of injuries because the locating bolt was not fitted initially and was then missed as the installed seat belt obscured the locating bolt hole from the operator's view. If the locating bolt is missing, the seatbelt's Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) can move during usage potentially loosening the ELR mounting bolt. If this should happen, the ELR can move outside its intended angle limit preventing correct operation of the locking function. If the seat belt retractor bolt is missing, correct operation of the seat belt locking mechanism cannot be guaranteed. This may reduce protection in case of an impact, thus increasing the risk of injury.
